Andersen fairy tale double bill for ages 4 and up.

The Pfefferberg Theater presents a double bill of fairy tales, telling Andersen's »Der Tannenbaum« and »Das Mädchen mit den Schwefelhölzern«, open to audiences from age 4. Behind it is the Hexenberg Ensemble, which performs the two pieces by and with itself under the title »Märchen im Glaspalast«. In the first tale a tree longs for the future and thereby misses the present – Andersen tells of a career hardly more brutal to tell, of a young one who takes the world of appearances for the world and, worn out and forgotten in the attic, finally grasps what the forest was. In the second, on New Year's night, a girl without shoes lights her unsold matches and with every flame a door opens; the staging turns this into a story of what is passed on between the generations – not as a heavy burden but as a game with an open ending.
