About
"Die 39 Stufen" is a crime comedy playing at the Berliner Kriminaltheater. It is based on John Buchan and Alfred Hitchcock, adapted by Patrick Barlow from an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon, in the German version by Bernd Weitmar and directed by Urs Schleiff. Orderly Richard Hannay is confronted with an unexpected evening guest, a mysterious warning and a death that comes far too suddenly, tumbling into an adventure around a puzzling organisation called Die 39 Stufen. The result is a wild mix of suspense, pursuit and surprisingly comic moments.
