Wie Grischa mit einer verwegenen Idee beinahe den Weltfrieden auslöste
Kammerspiele, Schumannstraße 14a, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
A theatre evening at the Deutsches Theater Berlin: the world premiere of a comedy based on Jakob Hein, directed by Wilke Weermann, with an ensemble including Jonas Hien, Katrija Lehmann and Bernd Moss. Grischa Tannberg arrives in Berlin freshly trained to take up his first job in the GDR's State Planning Commission, where at first there is nothing to do. Ignoring his superior's instruction to practise the art of waiting, he develops a plan for economic cooperation with the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan – built on an agricultural product that officials prefer not to mention too loudly. Out of the audacious idea grow a working group, a pilot project and a question no one was prepared for: what happens when an absurd idea suddenly works?
