Dunkles Universum is a 60-minute planetarium show with live commentary that takes its audience on a cosmic journey into the unknown. It is a production of the American Museum of Natural History in New York, made together with the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco and GOTO INC in Tokyo, covering what we already know about the cosmos, the major discoveries of the past 100 years and the cosmic puzzles that still await solutions. In the planetarium hall, viewers look at the web of dark matter that holds galaxies together, listen to the "echo" of the Big Bang and get a glimpse of the exciting future of space exploration. It is presented in German at the Archenhold-Sternwarte and recommended for ages 14 and up (grade 9).
