About
The Elektropolis-Tour is a guided walk through the historic founding centre of Berlin's electrical industry in Schöneweide. It is run by the Industriesalon, which recounts the history of the place where Berlin's electrical industry began. After an introduction with historical images, the route follows imposing industrial façades from the era when the district electrified the world, and leads to hidden spots such as the historic AEG canteen and the former cable works, now used as a campus by HTW Berlin. The walk takes about two hours and starts at the Industriesalon meeting point; the Behrens building cannot currently be visited because of construction work.
