Femme/Butch-Lesegruppe

The Femme/Butch reading group is a monthly online group that discusses figures and portrayals of Femme/Butch dynamics in literature and film. It is led by Sabine Fuchs, a scholar of literature and culture who has edited the anthologies „Femme! radikal – queer – feminin“ and „Femme/Butch. Dynamiken von Gender und Begehren“. The materials, chosen together by the participants, can include novels, stories, texts from lesbian-queer-trans-feminist theory, or films. The group is aimed at Femmes and Butches as well as all open-minded FLINT people and is also meant to be a regular place for Femme/Butch meeting and exchange. The meeting takes place online via Zoom; no special prior knowledge is required, and registration is possible by email.
