"Führung Spezial Kostüm" is a backstage tour of the Komische Oper Berlin at the Schillertheater, where visitors look behind the scenes and experience the magic of the stage up close. The tour explains how the company was founded and what its "comic" name is about, spiced with theatre anecdotes, entertaining retrospectives and futuristic-digital outlooks. Its focus is costumes: in the fabric store, the costume stock and the costume workshop, the costume department gives an insight into its work – from designing the often loud, colourful, baroque or simple costumes to what happens when a seam tears during a performance. The tour is suitable for ages 8 and up.
