“Hospital der Geister” is a stage adaptation of the Danish television series by Lars von Trier and Niels Vørsel at the Deutsches Theater. Directed by Jan-Christoph Gockel, it is a large-cast, inclusive theatre project with performers from RambaZamba and from Graz. In the Copenhagen national hospital called “Das Reich”, built on marshland, doctors fight illness and death while ghosts haunt the building and evil challenges good. With dark humour, the evening raises questions about the boundary between life and death; it runs 4 hours 40 minutes with 2 intermissions.
