A musical-literary evening of couplets and cheeky rhymes from old Berlin. Frank Dittmer (recitation, song) and Johannes Gahl (piano) present a highly amusing programme with local colour, ranging from Glaßbrenner's „Nante“ to Bleibtreu's „Bier bleibt Bier“, combining comically winking Berlin couplets by the great local composers with delightful piano pieces. Along the way appear the errand boy, the barrel-organ man, the meatball eater and the pub-goer in purest Berlin style.
