About
A memorial service for the departed at which the names of those who died in the last twelve months are read aloud once more. The title quotes the Apostle Paul, who in his letter to the congregation in Philippi in Greece thinks of deceased coworkers and writes that their names stand in the book of life. The question is to be explored of what he means by saying the names of our departed are recorded in a book. Everyone also has the opportunity to light a candle for their own departed and place it in a wall of lights, whether they died recently or long ago.
