Integrationslots:innen
Ulme 35, Ulmenallee 35, 14050 Berlin, Westend
About
The Integrationslots:innen (integration guides) hold a regular advice hour in which they support refugees in their first steps of arriving in Berlin and also accompany people with a migration background who have lived in the city longer and still need help. They explain everyday life in Germany, help overcome language barriers, and pass on information on residence, German courses, the Jobcenter/social welfare office, daycare and school, health insurance, medical care and leisure activities. They also accompany people to appointments, help with post and filling in forms, and refer people to specialised services. The project in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf is run by the Iranian Community and funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Integration, Labour and Social Affairs.
