Jazz in der Alten Feuerwache I Lionel Haas Trio is a concert followed by a jam session at the old fire station in Berlin-Friedrichshain. Behind it is the trio of Bonn-born pianist Lionel Haas, with Martin Lillich on bass and Yatziv Caspi on drums. The repertoire consists of original compositions and the leader's own arrangements of standards, some of which can also be heard on his 2013 CD 'Going and Going'. Based in Berlin since 1999, Haas is also one of the most sought-after sidemen of the Berlin jazz scene and a highly virtuosic soloist with a pronounced blues feeling.
