About
VORWÄRTS/RÜCKWÄRTS is a concert of contemporary chamber jazz from Berlin featuring Maike Hilbig on double bass, Johannes Fink on cello and Gerhard Gschlößl on trombone. The bassist and composer Maike Hilbig presents her trio's brand-new programme. In their compositions the three blend the b-sides of their youth with chamber-music free jazz, creating pieces full of unplannability and exuberance. In doing so they carry the typical 'Berlin Sound' of the early nineties further into the present.
