About
Jazz & Lyrics I: Two of a Kind is a jazz concert with poetry in the Tischlerei of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Members of the house big band devote the evening to the partnership of two jazz musicians, Bob Brookmeyer and Clark Terry, whose shared sound unites humour, virtuosity and compositional finesse. The series is curated by big band members Rüdiger Ruppert, Sebastian Krol and Guntram Halder. The evening pairs virtuosic jazz numbers with surprising texts, followed by an Artists' Lounge where you can meet the performers.
