About
“Kerim Pamuk - Kiffen, Kaffee & Kajal” is a cabaret evening written and performed by Kerim Pamuk at the Showfenster Theater. It takes a humorous look at globalization a thousand years ago and today, at the value of exchange and communication and the funny consequences of isolation. Pamuk explains why Europe was long only Asia's backyard in food, culture and science, linking that to the yogurt cup in the recycling bin, the black gold pepper and China's ambitions as a great power. The night also covers German treasures like coffee and sofa that we owe to the Arabs and linguistic accidents like “24/7” and “Ich bin fein damit”.”
