KIN*K: Padraig Robinson's film on Laud Humphreys.

An experimental feature film is screened at the artist studio house. In 'Masquerades of Research Part I & II' by Padraig Robinson, Mark O'Halloran plays the infamous sociologist Laud Humphreys, whose controversial study of sexual activity in public toilets was made when 'queer' was still an insult. The 2022 film nods to Humphreys' book 'Tearoom Trade' as a moment of the avant garde in the USA. The series is curated by Irina Novarese, supported by B.L.O. Ateliers and Rondell Projectspace.
