KOO JEONG A – OUSSSEAN
KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Auguststraße 69, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
KOO JEONG A – OUSSSEAN is an exhibition at KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin. It presents work by KOO JEONG A (born 1967, KR), who since the early 1990s has worked with found objects and large-scale public installations on themes ranging from human perception to taoist philosophy and the teaching of Qi. Conceived in response to the architecture of the KW, the show gathers key works from the past decades, from vibrating walls and magnet towers to drawings and phosphorescent paintings. The title refers to Ousss, an invented territory by KOO that can only be perceived with concentration, patience and attention, and it is the artist's first major solo exhibition in Germany and Berlin.
