About

A curator's guided tour of the exhibition „Jeewi Lee. Residual Memories“ at the Berlinische Galerie. The tour is led by Guido Faßbender, a research associate in the Fine Art Collection. The artist Jeewi Lee works with site-specific installations, sculptures, picture series and interventions, often using simple, seemingly worthless materials in which time, memory and transience are inscribed as traces. The winner of the GASAG Kunstpreis 2026 is realising a site-specific presentation in which scientific material analysis merges with aspects of Taoist philosophy and individual mythology into poetic, meditative pictorial worlds.
