About
A creative workshop for children aged 9 to 12 that combines literature, art and science. Dr. Gabriela Costea, an ecologist at the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB), invites participants on a journey of discovery along the Danube together with Lau, the literary figure from Eduard Mörike's story. The children design their own mini river map, playfully explore the problems rivers face today, and finish by creating their personal 'wish card for the river'. They also discover what makes a river alive and why that matters for the Spree and other Berlin waterways. It is a closed event for school groups, registered through the Stadtteilbibliothek Altglienicke.
