About
A drop-in workshop for families with children aged 6 to 12 at the Humboldt Forum. Participants visit the immersive panorama by artist Yorleny Cardozo Peña, experiencing the flora and fauna of the Colombian mountain massif along with millennia-old guardian figures, and then explore, in an artistic laboratory, the superpowers of animals with magnifying glasses and microscopes, learn the vital importance of biodiversity and create their own three-dimensional protective being. The workshop was created as part of a collaboration between the Instituto Colombiano de Antropología e Historia (ICANH) and CoMuse, the Collaborative Museum at the Ethnologisches Museum and the Museum für Asiatische Kunst in Berlin. It aims to empower children to discover their own "superpowers" so as not to feel helpless in the face of climate change and species extinction.
