LICHTenberg - Licht, Sound & Atmosphäre

LICHTenberg – Licht, Sound & Atmosphäre is a walk-in audiovisual staging inside the nearly hundred-year-old listed Stadtbad Lichtenberg. The two historic swimming halls, whose pools are flooded with light instead of water, become self-contained experiential spaces with their own atmospheres, from calm and impressive to powerful and overwhelming. In the large hall, 17 LED lines run through the former pool, complemented by an LED floor of roughly 10 × 20 metres, with colours spreading in rhythm with the music. Film music, electronic beats and sounds from the world of video games merge with an orchestra of light made of colour, movement and space; the visit takes about 60–90 minutes.
