Literaturkreis: discussion of Fontane's novel Der Stechlin.

The Literaturkreis is a literary discussion group meeting in the small hall of the Evangelisches Gemeindehaus Nikolassee. It is led by Dr. Gyde Pulmer. The group discusses Theodor Fontane's last social novel »Der Stechlin« from 1898, set at the legendary Lake Stechlin and telling of the old Dubslav von Stechlin and the life and marriage plans of his son Woldemar. Participants exchange views on the novel's political and social opinions and questions of life; newcomers are warmly welcome.
