Lost in Translation: Coppola's cult film with Bill Murray.

"Lost in Translation" is an award-winning cult film that received the Oscar for best original screenplay. It was written and directed by Sofia Coppola and stars Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Giovanni Ribisi and Anna Faris. The young Charlotte accompanies her busy photographer husband to Tokyo, where she is often left alone, while the aging actor Bob Harris travels to Japan for a lucrative advertising spot. In Tokyo's night-time world of neon light and strangeness, an unusually intense closeness grows between them, as the film sensitively tells of loneliness, mutual understanding and the rare experience of truly being seen by another person.
