MATRIX OF MOURNING is a participatory performance installation creating a ritual-artistic space for experience. Visitors can engage with death, grief, loss, transition and their own mortality. It is the work of Ilil Land-Boss, who offers herself like a professional mourner, expressively embodying grief on behalf of others, accompanied by a video installation, gestures from expressive mourning practices and elements from death rituals. Visitors are welcome to bring personal items, flowers or photos connected to a grieving or farewell process.
