About
A concert evening devoted to Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem, one of the most deeply affecting works in choral literature. The Max-Reger-Chor Berlin and the Sinfonisches Kammerorchester Berlin perform under the direction of Thorsten Putscher, joined by Juline Florentino (soprano) and Simon Robinson (baritone). In the version by Linckelmann, the work unfolds its full musical power in a transparent, chamber-musical sound language. The evening is about grief and consolation, transience and hope – and about music's power to give voice to the unspeakable.
