Memories of Murder is a South Korean feature film by Bong Joon-ho starring Song Kang-ho, Kim Sang-kyung and Kim Roe-ha. In 1986, several women are murdered in a rural area of South Korea: local detective Park relies on instinct and forced confessions, while his colleague Seo from Seoul insists on evidence and methodical work. Between rice fields, interrogation rooms and dead ends their desperation grows, suspects are arrested, leads disappear and the killings continue. What begins as a grotesque tale of police incompetence becomes a feverish search for a killer who could strike again at any moment.
