About
"Mit Abstand das Beste! Luca Signorelli" is a guided tour at the Gemäldegalerie devoted to the painter Luca Signorelli. Martin Hanßen introduces him and, using his works, discusses different formats and genres of painting of the Italian Renaissance. Giorgio Vasari already praised Signorelli as a great renewer of painting and a pioneer of the High Renaissance. At the centre is the painting "Heilige Familie", an impressive example of his bold pictorial language.
