Still-life photography workshop: from Vanitas to Editorial.

An adult photography workshop in which participants try out still-life photography, from seemingly natural arrangements to clearly staged scenes. It is led by photographer and visual artist Antje Peters, who also works commercially and whose work was shown in the exhibition „Optical Illusion – Contemporary Still Life“ at C/O Berlin. Inspired by early still-life photographs of the 19th century, participants transfer classic motifs with fruit, vegetables, flowers or other objects into today's urban reality. The course also offers insights into the history of still-life photography; what matters is not technical perfection but experimenting with camera, daylight, artificial light and composition.
