A talk followed by a discussion on violence against women and domestic violence, with current figures and developments. It also addresses how those affected can be supported and how the silence can be broken. The event is run by the Amt für kirchliche Dienste (AKD) in cooperation with the Frauenarbeit in der EKBO and is part of a themed week of the Evangelische Kirchengemeinde Schlachtensee. The speaker is Gesa Birkmann, federal managing director of the human rights organisation „Terre des Femmes“; afterwards there is a chance to stay together over drinks, and admission is free.
