Olfactory Encounters: scent workshop with Miriam Amaryi.

A workshop that centres the sense of smell and explores scents together with others. Miriam Amaryi, a scent practitioner who works primarily with botanical aromatic materials, examines the relationships between smell, memory, culture and the histories of the materials themselves. Participants will notice the memories and associations that different materials awaken, trace the trade routes and meanings these materials have gathered, and make a personal scent blend. You are invited to bring a plant or aromatic material of your own, such as a kitchen herb, dried flowers, spices or resin; because capacity is limited, registration by email is required.
