Piano Duo Festival: free improvisation on two pianos.

At the Piano Duo Festival for Improvised & Experimental Music, three piano duos share this evening: Uli Gumpert & Oliver Schwerdt, Eli Wallace & Anaïs Tuerlinckx and Jordina Millà & Sten Sandell. Initiated in 2024 by pianist Isabel Anders at the Kühlspot Social Club, the festival is dedicated to free and experimental improvisation on two grand pianos. Berlin-based and internationally invited pianists meet in an unconventional setting and carry on a musical dialogue without any preset style. The third edition presents three outstanding duos each evening, with pianists travelling in from Austria, Sweden, the USA, Germany and Switzerland.
