About

The Piano Duo Festival is a two-day festival dedicated to free and experimental improvisation on two grand pianos. It takes place at exploratorium berlin; this evening features the duos Uli Gumpert + Oliver Schwerdt, Eli Wallace + Anaïs Tuerlinckx and Jordina Millà + Sten Sandell. Pianists from Austria, Sweden, the USA, Germany and Switzerland meet in an unconventional setting that departs from traditional concert practices. The festival aims to create access for new audiences while also appealing to the regular audience of the classical, contemporary, jazz and improvised music scenes.
