Queere Tiere: reading with Magda Wystub on nature's order.

The Kultur- und Dialograum "M5" hosts a reading and conversation with Magda Wystub about her book »Queere Tiere«. The book introduces creatures that live gender, sexuality and family quite differently from what schoolbooks and bar-talk would have us believe, from lesbian albatrosses to drug-affine reindeer. With biting humour and charmingly beastly illustrations, it takes a power-critical look at the natural sciences and clears up the myth of the "natural order". The author, who studied cultural sociology and now makes artistic documentary films about what society prefers to overlook, has always doubted – in God, in traditional values and above all in her biology teacher.
