Bibliothek des John-F.-Kennedy-Instituts, Lansstraße 7-9, 14195 Berlin, Dahlem
About
A student workshop titled "Feminist Media Studies at 50: Power, Representation & Resistance" at the Culture department of the John-F.-Kennedy-Institut. Scholars Hannah Curran-Troop, Rosalind Gill, Jo Littler and Annelot Prins reflect on fifty years of feminist media studies, collaboratively analyze a contemporary cultural object with participants, and discuss the field's future. The two-hour workshop is open to undergraduate and graduate students from all departments; no prior knowledge is needed, though curiosity about gender, media, culture and politics helps. Registration is required.
