About
The Adolf-Reichwein-Bibliothek invites to a travel talk „Von Marrakesch in die Wüste“ about Morocco. Peter Fritz of the Terrariengemeinschaft Berlin e.V. leads from Marrakesh across the High Atlas and the film city of Ouarzazate to the edge of the Sahara at Merzouga, via stops near Zagora and finally up to Oukaimeden at 2,700 metres. The focus is on encounters with reptiles and amphibians such as spiny-tailed lizards, the Wüstenmauergecko and the North African thin-fingered gecko, with reports on their habitats, microclimate and behaviour. Alongside come landscape photographs and impressions of a hospitable, endearing population as the reward for roughly 1,900 kilometres by hire car.
