A guided tour of the New Wing of Charlottenburg Palace designed for parents to join together with their babies. The event is run by VHS City-West; the course instructor also teaches German as a second language at a Volkshochschule and has worked for more than ten years in the palaces of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation. Participants first sit down with other parents on cushions and blankets in the impressive White Hall, then calmly explore the richly decorated living quarters and ceremonial halls and learn personal stories about the kings and queens. Questions are warmly welcome, short breaks for the babies' needs are possible at any time; strollers cannot be taken into the palace rooms, so a baby carrier worn on the front is required.
