"Shalom Habibi – Friede, meine Freundin, mein Freund!" is a singing gathering (Singstunde) in the Bohemian Village, hosted by the STATTbereich Brüdergemeine. People of different religions sing simple, moving songs together without sheet music – the music is meant to connect them and let peace and understanding grow. More than 250 years ago, people fled from Bohemia and found a new home in what was then Rixdorf; today the congregation values peaceful encounters and respectful dialogue with the people of Neukölln. Afterwards everyone shares a buffet to which all bring something (please no pork); information is available from Cornelia Dette, Musik der Religionen.
