Sonntag im Nikolaiviertel – Aktionstag mit buntem Programm

The "Sonntag im Nikolaiviertel – Aktionstag mit buntem Programm" is an activity day for adults and children at the Ephraim-Palais, the Knoblauchhaus and the Nikolaikirche in Berlin's historic centre. It is put on by the three museums of the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin, which offer a big programme on every first Sunday of the month, with free entry for anyone under 18 or entitled to a discount. Visitors can look forward to a Maibishow presented by the Kinderphilharmonie with tap-dancing violinist Marijn Seiffert and singing trombonist Gilbert Millich, a family tour of the permanent exhibition "BerlinZEIT", a talk and conversation on the 800th anniversary of the death of Francis of Assisi with friar Johannes Küpper OFM and historian Susanne Knackmuß, and a creative workshop with the artist Ximena Ferrer Pizarro. In the Knoblauchhaus a live speaker shares insights into the everyday life of Berliners two hundred years ago, and the hands-on activities in the museum lab, the salon and the children's salon are free for everyone.
