Spielautos, Boote, Sitzmatten

"Spielautos, Boote, Sitzmatten" is a cinema event with short films made by children from Cameroon, Venezuela and Papua New Guinea. The children learned how to make films in workshops in their home towns; the films are shown with German voices, and a moderator guides visitors through the afternoon. Among other things, they show the life of the Ye'kwana on the Amazon: the girls demonstrate how they weave hammocks, and children from Papua New Guinea knot a sitting mat and build a toy car. The films are shown in Hall 3 on the ground floor, last 45 minutes and are recommended for ages 5 and up.
