About
A St. Martin procession in which children walk through the streets with lanterns singing the Martin song, while St. Martin rides ahead on a pony. The procession is organized by the Friedenskirche and recalls the legend of the Roman soldier Martin of Tours, who shared his cloak with a freezing beggar. It begins in front of the main entrance of the Ev. Trinitatiskirche and ends at the campfire on the grounds of the Spielhaus-Schillerstrasse. A short play takes place in front of the Trinitatiskirche, with children's punch for the kids and mulled wine for the grown-ups.
