“Pristine, Part II” is an exhibition of new sculptures by Timur Si-Qin at the gallery Société. The artist presents stainless steel works of botanical forms he encountered in the Ucayali region of the Peruvian Amazon. Rather than traditional casting, he uses a 3D scanning process that documents ecosystems without physical harm. Technological reproduction thus becomes a devotional act, reminding viewers that such threatened environments still exist.
