Verleihung des ver.di Literaturpreis Berlin-Brandenburg 2026 – Genre Prosa

The trade union ver.di Berlin-Brandenburg awards its 3,000-euro literature prize, this year in the prose category, to Berlin-based author Paula Fürstenberg for her novel „Weltalltage“. The novel, published by Verlag Kiepenheuer & Witsch, tells of an extraordinary friendship and of the challenges of growing up, illness, care and the search for one's own place in life. The jury consisted of Sarah Schmitt, Ruth Wyneken and Benjamin Roscher, deputy head of the ver.di Berlin-Brandenburg region. As part of the award ceremony the author reads from her book, and the evening is hosted by Judith Poznan.
