About
This exhibition at the Humboldt Forum is a video installation on endangered languages and the theme of family. It is a temporary exhibition by the Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss and the Ethnologisches Museum of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin – Preußischer Kulturbesitz, together with the Endangered Languages Archive and Endangered Languages Documentation Programme of the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften. The films feature people in Indigenous communities who document their language and culture, among them speakers of Dza in Nigeria. They share their views on the role of the family, on kinship, and on the changes taking place in their communities.
