Von Frauenhand gewoben: songs by Fanny Hensel and Viardot.

A song recital titled "Von Frauenhand gewoben – Klänge zwischen Himmel und Erde" takes place in the Salon of the Kulturhaus Schwartzsche Villa. It leads through an inner and outer landscape as women have drawn it in their compositions for centuries, asking how the sky sounds, whether farewells are always losses and what love can be. It features musical and poetic works by female composers and poets who are less received in the contemporary canon than their male colleagues, including works by Pauline Viardot and Fanny Hensel. On stage are the singers Clara Esther Bergert, Hannah Geef, Fanny Lamers and Paula Nilse with Saki Sakai at the piano; the evening is organised by Paula Nilse.
