Wenn Tiere sprechen könnten
Zitadelle Spandau, Am Juliusturm 64, 13599 Berlin, Haselhorst
About
“Wenn Tiere sprechen könnten” is a solo exhibition by artist Funda Özgünaydin in the ZAK lounge at the Zitadelle Spandau in Berlin. Funda Özgünaydin, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1978, works from an extensive artistic material archive, collaging, deconstructing and reassembling heterogeneous parts into hybrid pictorial realities. The show features photography-based picture series about the relationship between animals and humans, video miniatures and large-format painting, with the chimera, a hybrid in-between creature, turning into a medium for critically exploring the world. Many of the works examine inherited structures and fixed identities and ask about the truth behind the surface of the image.
