"Bodies that Speak – Künstlerinnen in Berlin" is an exhibition at Haus. Kunst. Mitte. about the human body as a means of artistic expression. It shows works by 17 artists who live and work in Berlin, spanning four generations and coming from various countries of origin. A tour through 20 rooms follows five thematic chapters, leading from imaginary body worlds through life and nature to social pressure and hybrid connections of the body. The works make experiences such as birth, sexuality, illness, ageing and death visible and invite visitors to see the body as something mobile, contradictory and changeable.
