Recherche-Techniken für StabiKat und mehr.

A workshop teaching research techniques for the Berlin State Library's catalogues. The library's Wissenswerkstatt, with Petra Wille and Angela Oehler, presents the new StabiKat and the classic online catalogue, their particular features, and search techniques such as truncation, Boolean operators and faceting. Concrete examples run through the session, including a sample search for journals and articles with ordering or online access, plus pointers to further external catalogues and databases. In the final minutes there is an opportunity for guided free research on participants' own topics.
