A reading and talk at the Brotfabrik in Berlin-Weißensee. Authors Claudia Klischat and Donata Rigg read from their joint novel »Zeitlang« about family entanglements, political uncertainty and the lingering effects of the past. At its centre is the aspiring journalist Benedikt, who becomes communications adviser to a populist politician, driving himself and his relationships into crisis. Using selected passages, the two discuss how the novel came about, collaborative writing and engaging literarily with the world in the text.
