ACF Translation Prize 2026 - Winners and Prize Ceremony Announcement

This is the prizegiving ceremony for the ACF Translation Prize 2026, an evening of translation, language and literature. It is held by the Austrian Cultural Forum London, whose judges selected this year's winners: Rachel Farmer won Category A and Chiara Haefliger won Category B, with Sharon Howe and Sarah Escritt as runners-up. Twenty-two established literary translators entered Category A with a passage from Birgit Birnbacher's Sie wollen uns erzählen, and thirty-four aspiring translators entered Category B with a passage from Sophie Reyer's Tod bei den Salzburger Festspielen. The evening features a special surprise guest travelling to London from Austria.
