About
A piano recital at Wigmore Hall by Alexander Gadjiev, a Slovenian pianist with an impressive international career including recent recitals in Manchester, Tokyo and at Beethoven-Haus Bonn. His programme contrasts colours and textures, setting meditative Takemitsu alongside Debussy's exotic L'isle joyeuse, Liszt's vivid images of Switzerland and the rich sonorities of Robert Schumann's First Piano Sonata, together with Beethoven's 'Waldstein' Sonata. The concert runs approximately two hours including an interval.
